We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Box Maker/Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role involves constructing high-quality boxes and custom cabinets, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints to produce precise, durable products. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in construction, woodworking, or related fields to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately produce boxes and cabinets.
- Cut, assemble, and finish wood components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Measure materials precisely to ensure proper fit and finish according to specifications.
- Operate machinery such as saws, drills, sanders, and CNC equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assemble components using nails, screws, adhesives, and other fasteners to create durable finished products.
- Apply finishing techniques including sanding, staining, painting, or sealing as required.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members on production schedules and problem-solve any issues that arise during manufacturing.
Experience
- Proven experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or box making preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of construction-related skills such as masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, or plumbing is a plus but not required.
- Experience with restoration projects or cabinet installation can be advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or carpentry roles is beneficial for understanding production workflows. Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
