Full job description

Join Our Team

Team Auctions is one of Western Canada's leading auction companies, providing professional auction services across multiple locations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team at our head office in Drayton Valley, Alberta.

This position plays an important role in supporting our day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and excellent service to both internal and external customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments
Issue customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections
Perform daily deposits and reconcile payments received
Assist with bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate accounting records and electronic filing systems
Enter and verify financial data in Sage 50 Accounting
Support auction settlement processing and customer account inquiries
Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
Provide administrative support to the accounting department as required
Communicate professionally with customers, consignors, vendors, and team members

Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
Minimum two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Experience with Sage 50 Accounting, Canadian Edition, is considered an asset
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
