About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead theirr Quality Assurance and Quality Control program while supporting fabrication and field construction projects across the oil and gas, industrial, and commercial sectors.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with quality management. Working closely with our field teams, project managers, clients, inspectors, and regulatory bodies, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects consistently meet client specifications, industry codes, regulatory requirements, and The Client's high standards for quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Client's QA/QC program across fabrication and field construction projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable client specifications, regulatory requirements, industry codes, and company standards.
- Coordinate and oversee Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material receiving inspections, hydrotesting, weld documentation, and turnover packages.
- Review quality documentation, inspection reports, NDE reports, RT reports, and material traceability records.
- Perform visual inspections of materials, fabrication, piping, structural steel, and completed work.
- Interpret and review P&IDs, isometric drawings, structural drawings, and customer specifications.
- Act as the primary QA/QC liaison with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
- Support internal and external audits and assist in resolving quality-related issues.
- Mentor and support project teams by promoting quality awareness, continuous improvement, and best practices.
- Collaborate with project management and operations to ensure quality objectives are achieved while maintaining project schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a QA/QC environment is considered a strong asset.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including:
- ASME B31.3 and B31.1
- CSA standards
- CWB requirements
- ABSA requirements
- Experience with:
- Welded piping and structural steel
- Threaded carbon and stainless-steel piping systems
- Facility, pipeline, tank, and vessel construction
- Fabrication and field installation
- Non-Destructive Examination (NDE)
- Visual examination of welds, materials, and radiographic (RT) reports
- Strong understanding of weld procedures, hydrotesting, material traceability, inspection processes, and client quality specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and structural drawings.
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD, Acorn, or similar software is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Skilled Trade Certificate or related technical education is preferred.
