Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Server/Shift Leader to join our team. This role combines exceptional customer service with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth restaurant operations during shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, hospitality, and food industry standards, with the ability to manage guest experiences efficiently and effectively.

Duties

Greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring an outstanding dining experience
Take orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS, and process payments with cash handling skills
Lead and supervise team members during shifts, providing guidance on service standards and operational procedures
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout the restaurant
Assist in food preparation and kitchen operations as needed to support team efficiency
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service delivery and guest satisfaction
Oversee cleanliness and organization of dining areas, adhering to sanitation protocols
Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer service

Requirements

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering tasks
Excellent time management and organizational skills to lead shifts efficiently
Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience in food industry roles such as serving or food preparation is preferred
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and manage guest interactions professionally
Knowledge of sanitation standards and kitchen operations is advantageous
