About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Role Overview/Purpose:
The Electrical Clerk will assist the department with performing all clerical duties related to the Electrical Department
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter all data related to safety discussions and update department procedures
- Maintain manpower list and scheduling
- Maintain all vacation approvals
- Manage overtime postings
- Manage all pay corrections, and pay codes for all time sheets
- Create, update, and maintain all files
- Put together monthly supervisors’ safety packages
- Close work orders when planned inspections are done
- Place gear orders and work orders in SAP
- Produce reports as requested
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and employee related concerns
- Ad hoc duties as required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills, SAP experience an asset
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1-3 years related administration experience in a high-volume environment
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Payroll and Human Resource Information Systems
- Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and computer skills are required, with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort
- Experience in working with diverse cultures is an asset
- The ability to problem solves and make sound business decisions while working independently is critical to success in this role
- The individual should have demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation, and strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
Working Conditions:
- 4x3 schedule
- Pay or shift range: $47,250 to $84,850 CAD
