Buffalo Trail Public Schools is seeking a passionate, student-centred educator to join the team at Edgerton Public School as a Kindergarten teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time probationary position offers the opportunity to support students during their foundational years of learning while working as part of a collaborative and caring rural school community.

End Date: June 3, 2027
Location: Edgerton Public School – Edgerton, Alberta
Assignment: Kindergarten
Contract Type: Part-Time Probationary
FTE: 0.52 (Tuesday and Thursday from September to December; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from January to June 3, 2027)
Specific Position Duties
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Training and/or experience teaching Kindergarten would be considered an asset.

Knowledge of early learning and development, including play-based learning, would be considered an asset.

Experience supporting early literacy and numeracy development would be considered an asset.
Qualifications and General Duties

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices
