Position Summary
We are hiring a full-time Counter & Quotations Specialist for our South Edmonton location. This person will be responsible for helping customers at the counter, preparing quotes, responding to emails, supporting online/e-commerce orders, and helping keep customer orders moving smoothly.
Electrical product knowledge would be a strong asset. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical materials such as breakers, conduit, fittings, wire, lighting, devices, and general electrical supplies. We are willing to train the right person, but previous electrical wholesale, counter sales, inside sales, or trade-related experience would be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers at the counter in a professional and friendly manner
- Prepare quotes for electrical materials, customer lists, lighting items, breakers, switchgear parts, and general supply requests
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email
- Help process website and e-commerce orders
- Use Excel, email, and supplier websites/portals to source pricing and product information
- Assist electrical contractors, walk-in customers and general public customers
- Enter, review, and follow up on customer orders and quote requests
- Help source hard-to-find electrical materials
- Pick and fill customer orders when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized counter/work area
- Communicate clearly with warehouse, purchasing, sales, and management
- Help support inventory accuracy and product information as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous electrical wholesale, counter sales, inside sales, or quotations experience is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical materials is a strong asset
- Comfortable using Excel, email, and website/e-commerce systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Friendly, professional, and easy to deal with
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and ask questions
- Able to manage multiple requests at once
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable picking and filling orders when needed
