Full job description

infraMOD is a highly developed and reputable structural and custom steel fabrication company offering outstanding quality, service and job turnaround that primarily serves industrial and commercial projects in North America.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and self-motivated senior project manager, possessing a solid business acumen and strong knowledge of planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects in the position of Project Manager.

Position Location: Edmonton, AB

Key responsibilities will include:

1. The Project Manager is accountable for leading and delivering multiple projects of varying degrees of complexity and scale, from the award stage through design, detailing, fabrication to on-site construction and effectively balancing the competing demands of quality, scope, time, and cost; ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the environment of steel fabrication and/or construction, managing complex projects.

2. Demonstrable record of project management on a major high value fabrication, and construction projects within the expected scope, quality, schedule, and budget. Experience must span the full cycle of a project.

3. Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, project management, business administration or PMP designation will be considered an asset.

4. Knowledge of drafting software (i.e. Tekla, AutoCAD Solidworks or other equivalent systems).

5. Knowledge of scheduling software (i.e. Primavera, Microsoft Project or other equivalent systems).

6. Knowledge in structural steel fabrication, connections, and erection practices.

7. Strong knowledge of fabrication, and construction methods, change management and risk planning.

8. Knowledge of welding and manufacturing codes and standards is an asset (CSA W59, CSA W47.1, ASME, API, AWS).

9. Ability to read and interpret general arrangements and fabrication drawings.

10. A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.

11. Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.

12. Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).

13. Highly Developed:

- Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities,

- Analytical and problem-solving skills,

- Decision Making,

- Interpersonal Skills,

- Negotiation Skills,

14. Commercial Knowledge: ability to read/review contracts, understand financials.
