We are seeking to fill a Student Recruitment Service Partner position to support the student recruitment needs of faculties within the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Faculty of Native Studies, at the University of Alberta.
The Student Recruitment Service Partner is a service-minded professional who will work collaboratively with key partners across the university to develop prospective student recruitment strategies and tactical plans that will effectively support the recruitment and diverse enrolment objectives of the university. Reporting to the Student Recruitment Director and Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Registrar, the Student Recruitment Service Partner will collaborate with other leadership and staff positions within the broader Student Recruitment team to meet nuanced recruitment objectives for their areas of focus while also working to harmonize and align tactical recruitment plans and staff processes across Student Recruitment teams. They will lead an action team of Student Recruiters dedicated to the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Native Studies to plan, brainstorm, organize, deliver, and evaluate in-person and virtual recruitment events, presentations, yield activities, prospective student communications, and advising initiatives.
The Office of the Registrar (RO) plays a key role in every aspect of the student experience, from recruitment to graduation and beyond. The RO also supports the broader campus community, including faculties, departments, and other units.

Provides professional, informed and creative advice to the Student Recruitment Director and Assistant Registrar, Faculty and College partners, and other key stakeholders with respect to appropriate student recruitment strategies, tactics, and messaging.

Develops and evaluates faculty-specific recruitment plans and tactics in support of the institutional direction and in collaboration with institutional recruitment efforts.

Acts as part of an integrated team of service partners and staff who support enrolment management within the Office of the Registrar and coordinates approaches in support the enrolment objectives of faculties, and the institution; ensures the university meets its overarching and targeted student recruitment goals.

Advises on key factors impacting student recruitment, including identifying opportunities and risks; advises on strategies to manage these risks.

Provides content expertise and works with communications and Recruitment Marketing to develop, implement, and maintain recruitment presentations, publications, and promotional initiatives for future students. Ensures strategies compliment and align with other communications/marketing strategies within the Student Recruitment.

Builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with your fellow Student Recruitment Service Partners and leaders within Student Recruitment, International Recruitment, Indigenous Enrolment Management, Enrolment Management Service Partners, marketing and communications professionals, Faculty partners, Admissions, Student Financial Support, and others to ensure advocacy for student recruitment needs and to deliver solutions necessary to meet enrolment goals.

Develops and leads training for all student recruitment staff. Ensures training documents are up-to-date and relevant to promoting the client group for recruitment purposes, such as training manuals, videos, and other training resources.

Develops, delegates, and evaluates annual recruitment strategies and establishes target schools/institutions/regions for client group; leads the division of work and assignment of tasks with Student Recruiters supporting this area.

Leads a team of 3 student recruiters, which includes delegation of tasks, setting priorities, training, supervising, motivating, and supporting them to achieve great things.

Allocates and monitors assigned resources and budgets effectively to achieve expected results.

Creates quarterly reports and attends regular meetings with client group for the purpose of transparent communication and monitoring of graduate recruitment and enrolment trends and outcomes.

A Bachelor's degree.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, and an annual salary range of $71,856 to $119,681.
The terms and conditions of this appointment are governed by Schedule G of the collective agreement between the University and the Association of Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
