Full job description

HI-WAY 9 GROUP OF COMPANIES

Mon-Fri, Afternoons

We are currently hiring for a Class 1 truck driver in our Edmonton, Alberta location.

Responsibilities:

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Ability to drive to communities outside of Edmonton to deliver
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Pickup and delivery of freight, handle a heavy work load.

Successful Candidate must be/have:

Commitment to customer service
Valid class 1 driver’s license and current 5 year commercial abstract
2 years Class 1 driving experience
LTL Freight experience an asset
Ability to pass a criminal record check and fit for work testing.
