Full job description

Instant Recruitment Solutions has an immediate position for a (QA Inspector Technician ).

Days / Afternoons must be flexible as well for Night Shift
CAR Required NO BUS Service
Location : Nisku
Contract Role : 6 months but can be extended for right fit
This role does not require prior QA experience.

We are seeking someone with the following qualifications:

Excellent English reading, writing, and comprehension skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Dependability and adaptability
Eagerness to learn

Position Details :

Tests and approves the material, work in process, and finish good for batching and filling to make sure it meets the specifications as per the Master Formulation Sheet or the Specifications List, by performing the appropriate tests (such as specific gravity testing, reserve alkalinity testing, water content testing using the Karl Fisher Titrator) as per standard test method instructions;
Records the test results of the sample and the sample information in the log book provided and signs in the space provided for sample approval;
Calculates the target, nominal and maximum weights and enters same on the Production Record Sheet;
Enters the date code on the Production Data Sheet;
Stamps the work order with the QA stamp and authorizes the start of production;
Labels and retains a sample of the liquid tested, as per the work instruction;
Checks that the raw materials and packaging materials used for production are available for the start-up of the production line and are correct as per the work order;
Checks the markings on the shipping containers against the requirements on the work order and makes sure that the markings are up to standard, and verifies that the bottle coding is clear and correct;
Verifies the weight of product according to Weight Control Chart as per the standard procedure and informs the line leader / shift leader if not acceptable;
Checks that all products are clean, and that the closure of containers is well-applied and secure, including verification of sonic seal if applicable;
Checks the position of the label or sleeve on the container and informs the Line Leader / Shift Leader if not acceptable;
Verifies that the carton closure is secure;
Checks the production machine speed on applicable production lines;
Verifies the type of pallet, quantity per pallet and the quality of the stretch wrap for each production line as per the work order;
Enters the QA Check Report in PC for any quality issue during the QA tour (including comments on quality issues if any) and makes sure that the check is scheduled in such a way so that each production line is checked within two-hour intervals;
Checks that the QA tests on blown bottles are carried out, and signs off in the space provided;
Assigns the weight for each pressing item and verifies all packaging materials are correct as per work order;
Checks the neck finish of blown bottles as per the standard procedure, checks the wall thickness and the bottle weight of blown bottles, and comments on any quality issues if any;
Checks the Automatic Blending Unit recipes as per the standard procedure, and fills in and signs off on the form provided;
Inspects the incoming raw materials and goods, if needed;
Performs required tests on specified bulk receiving items (such as Brake Fluid, Power Steering Fluid, Flush Oil) as per standard test method(s), and if approved, authorizes use of said items;
Performs the tests required and issues the Certificate of Analysis / Compliance for outgoing shipments as per standard procedure;
Inspects the cleanliness of kettles and production lines after wash-downs and changeovers;
Verifies the stencils being used in production;
Keeps the laboratory clean at all times, especially at the end of the shift, and always follows the lab safety regulations;
Tests liquids from dykes and records on specified form.
Performs stock rotation check as requested;
Organizes retained samples per procedure and transfers to the sample room;
Gives necessary instructions in day-to-day quality issues to Production personnel, as required;
Inform Quality Assurance Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Manager of quality issues, accidents, etc. that occur during the shift.
Performs any other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Manager, as required.
