Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and possess the ability to build and fabricate components using various tools and machinery. This role requires proficiency in operating saws and other power tools, as well as a strong understanding of machining processes. The Sawyer will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are cut and prepared according to specifications, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production operations.

Duties

Run pre-programmed cut lists on automated Spida & Linear Saws and/or similar automated cutting equipment to accurately cut materials to specified dimensions.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed.
Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings using AutoCAD software to understand project requirements.
Measure materials using calipers and perform tasks such as labeling and piling cut material.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with Spida & Linear Saw is a plus.
Strong skills in using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Access to a reliable vehicle as public transportation is limited.
