The Parkland School Division (PSD) is accepting applications for our Independent Contractor list. As an Independent Contractor, our schools will use your services/area of expertise to help provide a continuum of supports and services for students within the Division.
We invite qualified companies/individuals to submit an application for our Independent Contractor list to provide the following services:
Psychology (Psycho-Educational Assessment Focus)
Prerequisites:
- Registered or eligible to register with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP);
- Experienced in administering, interpreting, and writing thorough Psycho-Educational Assessments, including specific interventions in numerous areas (Cognitive, social/emotional, behavioral, Learning Disabilities, Autism, FASD, etc.)
- Qualified and comfortable providing inservices on relevant topics to staff and students, as needed.
Scope of Work:
- Complete psycho-educational assessments, including debriefs with the family/school
Provide consultation services

All documents listed below are required for your application to be considered, any omission will result in disqualification of the application.
- A current resume.
- Two examples of an assessment report you have written, all personal information removed, redacted.
- Rates for the services you provide, inclusive of GST, for the following:
- Assessment Services (inclusive of file review, parent/teacher history forms/interviews, review of anecdotal records, assessment, scoring/interpreting, and report with recommendations:
- Comprehensive Assessment (Cognitive+Academic+Behavioural Assessments)
- Cognitive + Academic Assessment only (no Behavioural component)
- Behavioural Assessment only
- Presentation, Workshop, and Consultation Services:
- Hourly rate
- Daily rate (per 7 hour day)
- A copy of your professional practice permit.
- Proof of liability insurance of no less than five million dollars (please attach document/provide name of underwriter).
- Confirmation of your company name, address and contact details.
- Workers Compensation number required
- GST registration number, if applicable. (no GST # no GST can be charged)
A completed application submission should not be construed as acceptance to PSD’s Independent Contractor list nor an obligation for PSD to extend a contract.
PSD reserves the rights to negotiate with the companies/individuals selected directly relating to rates, services and clarity on submission information, if needed.
This is a Non-Employee position and all services are to be invoiced/billed accordingly if added to the Independent Contractor/Vendor list.
