Job Overview

We're a small boutique company looking to grow our team. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Maker/Woodworker to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and installing custom cabinetry and woodwork primarily for residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and cabinet making, with a keen eye for quality craftsmanship. Experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and various construction techniques is essential. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing a wide range of tools and skills to create functional and aesthetically pleasing wood products.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute custom cabinetry and woodwork projects
Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinets, furniture, and other wood components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment
Perform precise measurements and layout work to ensure proper fit and finish of all projects
Bonus points for skills in restoration, cabinetry installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting as needed for project completion
Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols
Assist with material estimation and project planning to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout each project phase
Collaborate with project managers to meet specifications and deadlines

Qualifications

Proven experience in woodworking or cabinetry fabrication with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for complex designs
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other manufacturing equipment
Knowledge of construction techniques including, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting is a bonus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
Prior experience in restoration or handyman services is a plus
Construction experience across various trades such as carpentry or reonvations is highly desirable
Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously while working in diverse environments
