We currently have a need for Fabricators for our Elmira, ON plant. Fabricators utilize technical drawings, blueprints or other specifications to construct metal products, as well as a number of products ranging from sheet metal parts to metal molds. Fabricators often advance in manufacturing operations to Welders, Quality Control Inspectors or CNC operators. Opportunities for advancement are available.
The Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience using cut saws, angle saws, punches, presses and grinders.
- Fine measuring experience.
- Ideally 1 year experience with metal assembly projects.
- Read and understand drawings.
- Read and understand measuring instruments using fractions.
- CNC router table an asset.
- Forklift experience an asset (can be trained).
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
- Good communication abilities.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards.
- A high energy level, a positive attitude and be able to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to work well with others as a member of a team as well as independently.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Frequent lifting of 50lbs to waist height without straining themselves.
Shifts (straight, non-rotating):
Days - Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Afternoons - Monday to Friday: 3:00pm to 11:00pm ($0.80 per hour premium)
Midnight - Sunday to Thursday: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am ($1.05 per hour premium)
Starting rate is $23.81/hr, moving to $25.91 after 6 months and $27.31 after 12 months.

Candidates must be willing and available to work any shift. Candidates must be located in Canada, legally eligible to work in Canada and be within reasonable commuting distance or relocate prior to commencement of employment.
