Payroll Administrator

18-Month Contract | Full-Time | Waterloo Region

Looking for your next opportunity in payroll? Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on an 18-month full-time contract.

If you’re detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering accurate payroll while providing outstanding service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and within strict deadlines.
Calculate payroll deductions, benefits, and statutory remittances.
Process Records of Employment (ROEs) and submit them to Service Canada.
Complete payroll account reconciliations and payroll accounting functions.
Respond professionally to employee and departmental payroll inquiries.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and internal procedures.
Maintain accurate payroll records while supporting a collaborative team environment.

What We’re Looking For

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation.
Minimum 2 years of payroll experience in a large organization (3,000+ employees preferred).
Experience with payroll accounting, government remittances, and reconciliations.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using payroll software and reporting tools, including Crystal Reports and Excel add-ins, is considered an asset.
Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
A team-oriented professional with exceptional attention to detail.
