We are seeking a Warehouse & Counter Sales Assistant to support our warehouse operations while providing excellent service to customers visiting our store and service counter.
Position Summary
This role combines warehouse operations, inventory management, and customer service. The successful candidate will help maintain an organized warehouse, support technicians and project teams with materials, and assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and order pickups.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Counter Sales
- Assist walk-in customers with product selection and purchases.
- Process sales transactions and customer orders.
- Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone.
- Direct customers to appropriate products, services, or team members.
- Prepare customer pickups and special orders.
- Build positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional service.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Receive and verify incoming shipments.
- Put away inventory accurately and maintain warehouse organization.
- Pick and stage materials for service calls and projects.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate stock records.
- Return unused project materials to inventory.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
Shipping & Receiving
- Prepare outgoing shipments and freight.
- Process supplier and customer returns.
- Verify packing slips and shipment documentation.
- Coordinate deliveries and material transfers.
Purchasing & Material Coordination
- Assist with inventory replenishment and stock monitoring.
- Support purchasing and project teams with material requests.
- Help identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications Required
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in customer service, retail, warehouse, or counter sales.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, irrigation, agricultural, industrial, or mechanical products.
