Your Role:
As part of our talented team, you’ll collaborate on impactful projects across the Chicago area and beyond. Your responsibilities include:

Designing and planning roadway and transportation projects for municipal and state clients.
Initiating, designing and completing IDOT/Tollway Phase I and Phase II design activities.
Preparing technical reports, construction plans, and detailed specifications using MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
Managing tasks, budgets, and schedules for multiple projects while maintaining quality deliverables.
Work independently as well as support civil/site design efforts and water resource teams on diverse assignments.
Collaborating with your peers to brainstorm solutions and deliver outstanding results.
Participating in occasional fieldwork to bring your designs to life.
Contributing to a positive client relationship and upholding M Squared’s professional reputation.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking engineers who are not only technically skilled but also eager to learn and grow. Minimum qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
3–8 years of experience, particularly with IDOT/Tollway Phase I and II projects.
Proficiency in MicroStation/GEOPAK/OpenRoads Designer; Civil 3D experience is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
EIT/PE license is a plus but not required.
A proactive approach with a desire to take on increasing responsibilities.
A collaborative spirit and a desire to contribute to a positive team environment.
