Position Summary:
The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking a Full-time or Part-time seasonal Dishwasher to join our dynamic and fun team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for performing cleaning and dishwashing duties in a busy, clean and professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans are cleaned effectively and efficiently using dishwashers or by hand.
Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots/pans in the appropriate locations.
Perform general cleaning duties, including carrying out the garbage and recyclables, sweeping and mopping floors (of the entire kitchen, including inside fridges).
Operate cleaning machines according to company and manufacturer settings/specifications.
Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machines.
Ensure all kitchen equipment (steam tables, flat tops etc) is properly cleaned.
Clean the hood and ventilation system on a regular basis.
Assist cooks with prep work as required.
Clean unseen areas at least once a month (behind and under shelves/equipment).
Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the work area is always kept clean, neat, and sanitary.
Complete other duties as requested.

Skills & Requirements:

Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is an asset.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry up to 50lbs and work in a hot environment.
Organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality.
Teamwork and cooperation to assist others in getting the job done.
Must have an understanding of written and spoken English.
Hardworking and reliable.
Shift work hours – days and afternoons on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
