Full job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Inside Sales Representative with a strong background in new and used heavy truck sales. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of industry experience, a proven ability to close deals, and confidence in both inbound and outbound sales efforts. This role focuses on managing incoming inquiries, generating new business through cold outreach, and building long-term relationships within industries such as the construction and building supply sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, providing prompt and professional responses
Qualify leads, identify customer needs, and recommend appropriate new and used heavy boom truck or truck-mounted forklift solutions
Conduct outbound cold calls to our equipment-selected industries to generate new business
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent prospecting and follow-up
Present quotes and product information
Negotiate pricing and close sales to meet or exceed monthly and annual targets
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory, specifications, and market trends
Accurately document all customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
Develop long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in new and used heavy truck sales (inside or outside sales)
Strong knowledge of heavy trucks (engine, transmissions, axle capacity and configurations, etc.), equipment specifications, and industry applications
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience making high-volume cold calls and developing new business
Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized
Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Existing relationships within company-related industries, such as the construction, transportation, or building supply industries
Experience with financing, leasing, and trade-in processes
Familiarity with market trends in heavy equipment and trucking
