The Accounting Associate works in collaboration with the YPM corporate team at 392 Colborne Street, London Ontario and ultimately reports to the Controller.
Primary Responsibilities
- Post the rent payments in the property management system

Process refund cheques
- Create charges on Resident ledgers

Communicate with external parties such as Vendors, Insurance Companies, Banks, Residents and other parties

Process journal entries
-
Reconcile rent payments to bank accounts, process transfers between accounts
- Process ledger corrections, adjustments and charges

Post all returned payments (Returned Cheques and EFTs)
Other Duties as Required
The candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills and qualifications:

College Diploma or applicable work experience with a focus in accounting/finance

2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable role

Experience in property management is an asset

Advanced Excel skills and how to use VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy on documentation
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
