We are looking for a qualified Project Coordinator to join our team based out of Labrador City, NL.
Job Summary:
Working under the direction of the Project Manager, The Project Coordinator will be an important member our team with a wide range responsibilities. The incumbent will be constantly involved on construction sites identifying issues and solutions that are key for project success and will monitor manpower levels, training, schedules, costing, billing, equipment and material requirements, and the coordination of sub-contractors. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic team on large scale construction projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with Project Mangers Superintendents, or Project Engineers and report work progress

Assisting Superintendents with daily crew scheduling

Manage and complete organization of physical documentation on site

Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.

Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and reports.

Track project progress and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

Assist with procurement and delivery coordination of materials and equipment.

Support compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Help manage change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and variations.

Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards, conforming to owner and Grey Rock quality control requirements

Conduct daily field visits with Project Mangers Superintendents, or Project Engineers and report work progress

Prepare drawing and work packages for Superintendents and all other Field Supervisors

Work with and report to various Project Managers, Superintendents, site staff

Lead by example. Wear PPE & seatbelts, observe road rules, do Field Level Rick Assessments, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
-
Graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering

Past work experience within a mining or heavy civil construction environment

Bilingual in French and English

Experience with Microsoft Teams
-
Experience working a turnaround schedule on remote sites is an asset

Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properly

Excellent written communication skills

Working Conditions:
The Project Coordinator will be required to work in an office and field in a remote work site. Field work will be required and will require the use of minimum PPE (Safety Glasses, Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, and reflective vest) to minimize risk with field environments. Project Coordinator will need to have the ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
