Job Summary:

As a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in our growing team. You will support the Accountant in maintaining accurate financial records and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function. This on-site position involves close collaboration with the Accounting Manager and covers a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including accounts payable, inventory tracking, month-end reporting, and government remittances.

Key Responsibilities:

Update and maintain financial accounts and records in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping- accounts payable, receivable, processing, including invoice entry, payment runs, and statement reconciliations.
Reconcile daily POS (Point of Sale) data with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online.
·Monitor cash flow and track incoming/outgoing payments.
Organize invoices and receipts; prepare and update expense reports.
Identify and report discrepancies or variances to the Accountant.
Assist in preparing journal entries, trial balances, and financial/statistical reports.
Participate in month-end close activities and support the generation of financial statements.
Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual government remittances, including HST, WSIB, and beer tax.
Follow up with customers for timely payment while maintaining a professional and positive relationship.
Process staff reimbursements and distribute daily tips/gratuities in accordance with company policies.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
Maintain and enter financial data into accounting software; ensure system is up-to-date, complete, and well-organized.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all financial documents and records.
Support ongoing improvements to internal controls, processes, and reporting.
Assist in inventory tracking and reconciliation.
Participate in audits and other financial projects as assigned.
Comply with company protocols, policies, and all applicable health and safety regulations (OHSA).

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
Formal education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Diploma or Degree).
Experience with beer tax reporting is a strong asset.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.Proven ability to interpret and apply accounting rules and standards.
Experience with QuickBooks Online and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong data entry and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Reports To: Accountant

Hours:

Day shift Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
