Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Technical Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials and services critical to our manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP systems, supply chain management, and procurement strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. The Technical Strategic Buyer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support production planning and logistics, contributing to the overall success of our business operations.

Duties

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for technical materials and components using ERP systems.
Manage procurement processes including purchase order creation, contract negotiations, and supplier selection to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to optimize supply chain flow, including inventory control and management of logistics providers.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities in terms of pricing, quality, delivery times, and compliance standards.
Collaborate with production planning teams to align procurement activities with manufacturing schedules and demand forecasts.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities within ERP systems..
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service agreements while managing risks associated with sourcing decisions.
Support e-commerce initiatives related to procurement processes and supplier management.
Continuously analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, or risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to procurement.

Skills

Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office 365 Products
Strong knowledge of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory management, and supply chain management principles.
Experience in procurement, sourcing, negotiation, contracts management, and logistics coordination.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms related to procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
Ability to analyze data for pricing strategies, production planning, and inventory control decisions.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of merchandising principles and production planning is a plus.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments such as manufacturing, logistics, finance, and quality assurance.
