Job Overview
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all branch functions including operations, staff leadership, customer service, financial performance, and compliance, while ensuring alignment with company goals and maintaining strong communication with Head Office. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who takes ownership of branch performance, leads by example, and is actively involved in both strategic and day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Oversee daily operations including dispatch, deliveries, warehouse activities, and fleet maintenance.
· Accountable for the daily opening and closing procedures of the depot.
· Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient branch environment
· Take stock of supplies and requesting them from the appropriate person.
· Preparing and submitting the required reports to Head Office.
· Oversee all employees in the branch (drivers, sorting team members, team leads, technicians etc.).
· Set clear direction and expectations to keep staff focused on objectives.
· Train, coach, and develop team members to meet performance standards.
· Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of employees.
· Address performance concerns and employee issues by providing them training.
· Follow progressive discipline and document incidents when required.
· Manage/maintain employee timesheets and vacation requests.
· Oversee and help with warehouse operations and help manage fleet-related issues.
· Ensure that company policies and procedures are understood, being followed, and provide clarification on the policies and procedures, if required.
· Ensure adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
· Manage and optimize delivery routes by regularly reviewing performance, identifying inefficiencies, and adjusting, such as adding or removing routes to improve operational effectiveness.
· Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and customers.
· Conduct tailgate or safety meetings when needed or required.
· Promote and cross-sell the organization’s products and services to clients.
· Willing to go on the road when required.
· Occasional travel may be required based on operational needs

· Willing to take on additional duties as requested or required.
· Must adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Safety vests are provided by the organization; however, employees are required to supply their own steel-toe footwear.

Certifications/Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Driver's Abstract.
