Job Description – General Practitioner
We are seeking several physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients in a busy interdisciplinary clinic, in one of very few hybrid family medicine and walk-in clinics in Fort McMurray. As a General Practitioner, you will serve as the primary healthcare provider, delivering comprehensive medical care, preventive services, and health education to patients across diverse demographics. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and promoting overall well-being.
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, a patient-centred approach, and experience working with electronic medical records in a collaborative clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
□ Provide routine check-ups, health assessments, and longitudinal primary care.
□ Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
□ Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with best practices.
□ Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
□ Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education.
□ Coordinate referrals and continuity of care as needed.
□ Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
□ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care.
Preferred Experience:
□ Experience providing comprehensive primary care in a clinic setting.
□ Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
□ Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
□ Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
□ Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients.
□ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
Qualifications:
□ Eligible for independent practice registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
□ Certification in Family Medicine or equivalent training/experience.
□ Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
□ Commitment to high-quality, ethical, and patient-centered care.
