Full job description

We are currently recruiting for a couple of Personal Support Workers ,for 24 hour shifts or as a Live In, to assist a male employer who is quadriplegic and needs assistance in all activities of daily living.

Location:

Charlie Lake (near Altec Inspection)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

24 hour shifts or Live In option (with small private bedroom)
Shifts needed in the 24 hour time period are: 4 hour morning routine (6am start is preferred), 2 hour afternoon shifts on Monday and Thursday and 3 hours for evening/bedtime routine

Compensation:

$250.00 per day

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Assist with full personal care including bathing, dressing and toileting
Transfer assistance with board or manual floor lift
Meal preparation and medication assistance
Assistance with daily ROM stretches
Assistance with repositioning (turning onto back or side)
Cleaning equipment and light housekeeping
Assist with hobby-related tasks (binding homemade calendars)

Required Qualifications:

Driver’s License (Class 4 or 5) and personal vehicle is required
willing to do a Criminal Record Check
comfortable working in an environment with a medium sized dog
Willingness to be trained
Physically fit and able to assist with lifting and moving approximately 160lbs
