Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in manufacturing safety standards and have a strong background in training and development to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.

Duties

Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies aligned with industry regulations and company standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards within the manufacturing environment.
Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing development programs.
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training completion, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with management to update safety procedures and ensure adherence across all departments.
Promote a culture of safety through effective communication, engagement, and leadership in safety initiatives.
Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks related to manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a safety position in the oil and gas sector, specifically trucking, is considered an asset.
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety standards.
Demonstrated experience in training & development, with the ability to design engaging safety programs.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and foster employee engagement.
Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
A proactive approach to identifying hazards and implementing preventive measures.

Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour
