About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Coordinator, the Equipment/Grader Operator will be responsible for maintaining roads in the Kaybob Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance of the grader including parts management to minimize downtime. The successful candidate’s shift will be (10/4) 10-hour days with the flexibility of working around weather days. Working overtime hours may be required.
Job functions will involve:

Ensure gravel roads are maintained in a safe manner for industry & public travel

Complete Daily Pre and Post operation inspection walk-around

Express the knowledge and ability to Identify potential maintenance concerns on a variety of equipment

Enter workorders into Maximo with details to assist Planner/Schedulers on equipment maintenance

Work closely with Regional Maintenance Coordinator/Field Operators/Warehouse staff/ Maintenance Planners/Schedulers to ensure that work priorities are identified.

Conduct general maintenance on grader to minimize downtime

Maintain a parts list and inventory for general maintenance

Identify hazards and complete recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.

Ensure operating and maintenance procedures are reviewed and current

Complete detailed daily work tickets for invoice validation
Required Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years grading experience

Experience in the grading and safe handling of equipment in an “Off Highway” environment

Must have basic computer skills

Must have accomplished a High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Experience in general and preventive maintenance of graders

Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license

The successful candidate will reside in the Whitecourt or Fox Creek, AB area or in close proximity

The grader will be dispatched from the Paramount office in Fox Creek.
