About the Role

The Pastry Cook supports the Pastry Lead in producing high-quality baked goods for Neighbourly Coffee. Working as part of a collaborative kitchen team, you will follow recipes with precision, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and contribute to the warm, community-centered atmosphere that defines everything we do at 12 Neighbours.

What You’ll Do

Prepare baked goods according to established recipes, maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
Support the Pastry Lead with daily production tasks and kitchen operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards.
Use and care for kitchen equipment properly and safely.
Contribute to a positive, respectful team dynamic in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Adapt to shifting priorities and the evolving needs of the community we serve.

What We’re Looking For

You bring professional kitchen experience, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to be part of a team that shows up for people.

Baking Skills: At least one year of experience cooking or baking in a professional kitchen setting.
Precision: Proven ability to read and execute recipes with accuracy and care.
Organization: Ability to stay organized and maintain order during busy service periods.
Equipment Competency: Comfortable using and maintaining standard kitchen tools and equipment safely.
Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills and a constructive, respectful approach to working with others.
