We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to manage our women's shelter- Grace House.
The Fredericton Homeless Shelters, Inc. is a community organization that works to help individuals experiencing homelessness. Our shelters work to create a safe and stable housing that promotes self-determination and restores dignity to its residents. With our Continuum of Care model, our 360 support and holistic transitional planning support we are a housing focused shelter space. We are THE agency that changes people’s lives. We believe every person is entitled to a safe place to call home. For those who have no home; we are their home and we are proud of that.
Grace House for Women was established in 2001 and is home to 10 women anda resident house cat, Neema. Recognizable by the brightly colored exterior, Grace House provides a comforting, supportive, safe environment that fosters and produces dignity and self-determination. The residents of Grace House have access to support from staff 23 hours per day, as well as laundry and shower facilities, a full kitchen, a resource library equipped with computers, Wi-Fi and phones, and a donation pool. The staff who operate Grace House come from all different backgrounds and different experiences, but each of them understand the specific challenges that women faces. All of our shelters, and Grace House is no exception, operate under the trust that our shelter is not simply four walls and a heating system. For our residents, we are their home and a safe place to sort out their challenges during a vulnerable period in their lives.
