Residential Power Generation Sales Specialist

Sansom Equipment Limited has been a leading distributor and service provider for pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs, and packaged engineered systems across Eastern Canada since 1964.

As the authorized distributor for Kohler Energy (now Rehlko) in Atlantic Canada, we are seeking a Residential Power Generation Sales Specialist to join the Sansom team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will focus on growing our residential standby generator business throughout Atlantic Canada by developing relationships with homeowners, electrical contractors, builders, and dealer partners.

This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional with strong relationship building skills who enjoys identifying opportunities, providing customer solutions, and growing a successful product line.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow Sansom Equipment’s residential power generation business throughout Atlantic Canada.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with homeowners, electrical contractors, builders, and other key partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners.
Assist customers in selecting appropriate residential standby generator solutions based on their needs.
Work closely with internal teams to provide accurate quotations and ensure seamless customer experience.
Manage sales opportunities through Sansom Equipment’s CRM system and maintain accurate records of activity and progress.
Coordinate with installation partners and internal teams to support successful project completion.
Develop product knowledge of Rehlko residential generator solutions and provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
Participate in customer visits, sales meetings, and industry events as required.
Travel throughout Atlantic Canada as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of sales experience, preferably in residential, electrical, HVAC, construction, or related industries.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop leads, and close sales.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working with homeowners, contractors, and business partners.
Technical aptitude and willingness to learn residential power generation products and applications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Atlantic Canada.
