Full job description

About the role
We have one Summer Camp Program Leader position (NORTH SIDE) to fill to deliver fun, safe, and engaging day-camp programming for children ages 5-12. Reporting to the Program Management Team, you’ll lead activities (games, sports, crafts, leadership, education, nutrition, and more), support positive behaviour, and help create an inclusive environment where every camper belongs.

Applicants must be available June 15 – September 4th 2026 and attend a mandatory Training Day on Saturday June 13.

Qualifications & requirements

Must meet Canada Summer Jobs Requirements
Successful completion of required screening, including a clear Vulnerable Sector criminal record check (NB) and applicable child protection/DSD requirements
Current First Aid (and CPR, if required by your organization)
Ability to provide references
High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Knowledge and experience implementing positive child guidance
Direct experience working in a preschool, summer camp, or after-school program (preferred)
Early Childhood Education (ECE) and/or 90-hour ECE certification (asset)
HIGH FIVE® training (asset)

Working conditions

Flexible daytime hours between 7:30 am -5:30 pm based on program needs (35 hours a week possible 4 day rotation)
Ability to lift moderately heavy items/equipment for activities
Ability to participate in active programming (e.g., swimming, running, outdoor games)
Physical stamina to remain engaged and maintain a safe environment in various conditions (hot summer weather, etc.)
