As we expand in the Greater Toronto Area, we’re looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team.
Job Summary:
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales of our pharmaceutical products by engaging healthcare professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, clinic managers, and store managers. You will manage the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, while maintaining real-time CRM updates and generating new leads. The ideal candidate will be an expert on our products, skilled in stakeholder communication, and data-driven in decision-making. In addition, you will need to demonstrate excellent time management, emotional intelligence, and the ability to problem-solve and adapt to changes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the GTA region.
- Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing.
- Maintain relationships and sales with existing healthcare professionals while acquiring new leads.
2. Sales Planning & Execution:
- Develop a detailed sales plan to achieve targets and manage your territory efficiently by prioritizing visits, routes, and strategic opportunities.
- Plan ahead and stay organized to ensure timely follow-ups and optimal pipeline management.
3. Product Expertise & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide expert product knowledge to doctors, pharmacists, and clinic/store managers.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals to drive product adoption.
- Use emotional intelligence to connect with stakeholders and navigate complex conversations, ensuring trust and rapport.
4. CRM & Data Management:
- Update CRM in real time with accurate call records, sales activities, and lead status.
- Analyze data to optimize sales strategies and improve performance.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Track market trends and competitor activities.
- Provide regular sales updates and insights to your reporting manager.
6. Presentation & Communication:
- Deliver engaging, impactful presentations to healthcare professionals, showcasing product benefits and scientific data.
- Adapt your messaging based on the audience, whether it’s a doctor, pharmacist, or clinic manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years in pharmaceutical sales or a related healthcare field.
- Fresh graduates with a science background are welcome to apply.
- Proven track record of lead conversion and achieving sales targets.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to discuss matters within a scientific context
- Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to adjust strategies for better performance.
- Proficient in Zoho CRM, Microsoft Suite & Google tools (Sheets) and able to update records live
- Excellent time management and territory planning skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) to engage with stakeholders at all levels and build lasting relationships.
- Ability to problem-solve, think strategically and overcome challenges to close sales and achieve goals.
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing healthcare decision-makers.
- Adaptability and flexibility to stay effective in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with internal teams (marketing, in-house sales, etc.) for optimal sales strategies.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations and ethical sales practices.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a car and a valid Canadian driver’s license for regular travel within the Toronto/GTA region.
- Eligible to work full-time in Canada.
Position Details:
- Location: Multiple locations throughout the designated territory and occasional presence in the office at 80 Gervais Drive, North York.
- Expected Hours: 40 hours/week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 annual salary
