Overview
J.M.R. Electric Ltd. is a dynamic team dedicated to setting new standards of excellence in the Mechanical and Electrical service industry throughout Ontario. We strive to exceed expectations in everything we do.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team at our head office in Exeter, Ontario. This position plays a key role in the daily operations of our accounting department, ensuring smooth financial transactions while fostering strong relationships with both vendors and employees

Responsibilities:

Verify accuracy of invoices and ensure proper documentation is attached.
Maintain vendor records and resolve any discrepancies in billing or payments.
Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing cheques.
Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders or payments by communicating with vendors, internal staff, and other departments.
Receive, process, verify, and reconcile incoming invoices and other payment-related documents.
Back up of Payroll Coordinator role for vacation leave as needed.
Setting up new vendors as needed.
Other duties as required

What We Are Looking For:

Post-secondary education in accounting or finance is an asset.
Minimum of 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Foster professional relationships with vendors, clients, and team members to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication across all levels
Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust to changing requirements and priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
