What You’ll Do (Key Duties & Responsibilities)
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Inspect vehicles for safety concerns, fluid leaks, tire wear, and other maintenance needs.
- Top up or replace essential vehicle fluids (engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, etc.).
- Replace air filters, wiper blades, light bulbs, and other minor components.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and inform the Service Advisor of any issues or findings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service bay and shop area.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist other technicians or service team members as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to support a smooth and efficient workflow.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in automotive maintenance or as a lube technician is preferred but not required. Training can be provided to the right candidate.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Clean background check.
- Basic automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the automotive service field.
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly: CA$18-$22 per hour (depending on experience / qualifications)
- Health care benefits provided after 3‑month probation period.
- RRSP program with 2% employer match after 1 year of service.
schedule & Work Location
- Regular shifts Monday through Friday and every other Saturday; availability on weekends as needed.
- This is an in‑person role based at our dealership in Exeter, ON (N0M 1S1). Reliable commute or relocation is expected.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 – 46.5 per week
