This is a regular, part time position at the Gold River Health Centre on Vancouver Island, BC.
What You’ll Do
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive care, including assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, initiating treatment, managing care, delivering therapeutic interventions and prescribing medications in accordance with applicable standards, policies and guidelines. Working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner provides guidance to other health professionals and makes referrals as appropriate.
The Nurse Practitioner also collaborates with patients, families and care teams to identify health trends, develop evidence-informed strategies and improve outcomes at the individual, community and population levels. The role contributes to health policy and practice and participates in peer and self-review to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of services.
What You’ll Need to Apply
- Current registration (or eligibility) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing NP registrant
- At least two years of recent, relevant experience.
