Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and heavy equipment skills to ensure vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently in a rural setting living in one of the coolest communities in BC.

Duties

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and industrial equipment.
Conduct inspections using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as welders, bobcats,excavators, small engines, RV repairs, tire machines, and heavy machinery.
Repair or replace components including auto electric systems, engines, transmissions, tune ups, all sorts of car and truck repairs including hydraulic systems.
Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, Bobcats, trailer dignostics and wiring, and other industrial equipment as necessary.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety for all team members.
Communicate effectively with customers and managers regarding repairs diagnostics and maintenance.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment to prevent future issues.

Experience

Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician with related automotive small engine or industrial applications
Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding techniques, and farm machinery is advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge ia a wide range of abilities preferred.
Prior experience working with automotive repair systems and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues is essential. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for experienced technicians eager to apply their diverse skill set in automotive repair and heavy machinery operation within a professional setting.
Living arrangements for people looking for a small town alternative preferred. Accomodation could be included for appropriate candidate.

Ability to work with and train apprentices going forward.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour
