Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a reliable, detail- oriented Office Administrator to support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts and reporting as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
Process accounts payable, including invoices, payments and customer statements.
Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts to match statements and general ledger accounts.
Assist with GST filings, month-end entries and year- end preparation.
Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation.
Communicate with vendors, customers and internal staff regarding billing or payment questions.
Prepare daily financial updates for Management.
Provide general office and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
Education or training in bookkeeping, accounting or a related field is an asset.
Experience with Sage or similar accounting software is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information professionally.
Proficiancy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and general office software.
Strong communication and problem solving skills.

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour
