Big Hearts First Aid Inc. is a growing Alberta-based safety training company with locations in Edmonton, Calgary, Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, and Grande Prairie. We deliver practical, engaging, high-quality safety training that helps workers stay safe and confident on the job.
We are currently hiring a Safety Training Instructor (Entry-Level) for our Lethbridge team.

What you’ll be doing
- Delivering safety training courses (classroom and practical)
- Setting up classrooms, equipment, and course materials
- Completing course paperwork and entering records
- Maintaining training equipment and supplies
- Handling equipment pick-up and drop-off between locations
- Traveling to client sites within the Lethbridge area as needed
Courses may include:
- Standard First Aid (Canadian Red Cross Instructor)
- ESC H2S Alive
- Confined Space Entry / Monitor
- Fall Protection
- Ground Disturbance
- Fire Watch
- Respiratory Protective Equipment
- Bear Awareness
- MEWP
Schedule & availability
- 30–44 hours per week
- Our training operations run 7 days a week
- Must be available to work weekends on a regular basis
- Schedule will vary based on course bookings

Relevant experience (what we value)
You don’t need teaching experience. What matters most is real-world experience and attitude.
Strong backgrounds include:
- Oil & gas or industrial work
- Construction or civil projects
- Trades
- Plant, facility, or manufacturing work
- Safety roles or leadership positions (lead hand, crew lead, etc.)
- Any role where you trained, mentored, or guided others
Energy Safety Canada instructors are typically required to have field-based experience and strong working knowledge of hazards, PPE, and safe work practices. We will support the right candidate through the instructor certification process.

Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of relevant field or site experience
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups (or willing to learn)
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Valid driver’s licence (required for travel and equipment transport)
Assets (not required):
- Previous teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience
- ESC Instructor certifications
- First Aid Instructor certification
Pay & career growth
$26.00 – $34.00 per hour, based on experience
