Reporting to the Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining standards of cleanliness for all equipment and working areas as laid down in the Cleaning Schedules and as required by health and safety legislation.

MAIN DUTIES

To carry out cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, walls and floors and designated areas, as laid down in the Property Cleaning Schedule or as requested by the supervisor on duty.
To operate the dish washing machine efficiently and work methodically in the pot-wash area to achieve standards of cleanliness required by health & safety legislation.
To be fully conversant with the safe and economical use of all cleaning detergents/powders, as laid down in the Cleaning Schedule and by WHMIS.
To ensure all items are stacked safely to avoid accidents and breakage, following procedures laid down by property
To ensure signs are placed as warnings to other staff, when washing floors, as required by health and safety
To inform the supervisor of any excessive food wastage in order to assist in maintaining food costs as set down in the
To assist with the putting away of food in accordance with health & safety regulations and property policy.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Related experience an asset
Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
