Cross Country Canada Supplies & Rentals Inc. (CCCSR) is a rapidly growing industrial supply and equipment rental company with locations in Alberta and British Columbia. We support pipeline, civil construction, industrial, oil & gas and mining and infrastructure projects by providing quality equipment rentals, industrial supplies, and customer-focused solutions across Western Canada.
We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all branch operations, including sales, customer service, warehouse and yard operations inventory management, health and safety compliance, financial performance and employee development. Candidates should be local to, or willing to relocate to the Grande Prairie and surrounding area.
The ideal candidate will possess industry experience within pipeline construction, civil construction, oil & gas, industrial projects, or related sectors. This position requires a strong leader who can drive revenue growth, maintain operational excellence, foster customer relationships, and ensure the branch operates efficiently while meeting company objectives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all branch operations, including sales, customer service, warehouse and yard, inventory control, logistics, and administration to ensure all activities abide by the company’s policies and procedures
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective branch operations while maintaining high service standards
- Oversee the sales team and develop/execute strategies to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and market expansion
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Network with customers, suppliers, contractors, and industry stakeholders to strengthen the company's market presence.
- Ensure that all business process standards are observed and comply with regulations/applicable laws
- Execute priorities by ensuring open line of communication between sale team and warehouse
- Foster a positive, accountable and safety-focused workplace culture by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation with all staff
- Implement marketing campaign and product launch strategies
- Create strategies to ensure that sales targets are met, prepare reports on sales
- Collaborate with other branch managers and support teams on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational and financial reports for senior management.
- Manage branch budgets, expenses, and financial performance to achieve profitability objectives.
- Ensure all branch activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in industrial supply, equipment rental, construction, oil & gas, pipeline, mining, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience leading both sales and warehouse/operations teams.
- Strong business development, sales, and customer relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working conditions
- Based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, with occasional travel to customer sites, project locations, industry events and other branches, including Headquarters in Spruce Grove, Alberta.
- Combination of office, warehouse, yard and field-based work environments
- Periods of high stress as it involves tight deadlines and meeting sales targets.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
- Comfortable working in both office and field environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
Pay: $130,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
