POSITION SUMMARY

The Room Attendant / Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and quality of guest rooms, public areas, linens, uniforms, and other laundry items. This role supports overall guest satisfaction by ensuring a consistently high standard of housekeeping and laundry services. The successful candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. There is an opportunity for full-time hours based on operational requirements, business levels, and employee performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Housekeeping Responsibilities

Clean and service guest rooms and assigned public areas in accordance with established standards, including making beds, changing linens, replacing towels and amenities, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of hallways, corridors, and other designated public spaces.
Greet guests professionally and respond to inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.
Report maintenance issues, damages, safety concerns, and housekeeping deficiencies promptly.
Accurately update room status reports, assignment sheets, and housekeeping records.
Return, clean, organize, and restock housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies at the end of each shift.

Laundry Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, uniforms, and other laundry items.
Press and finish laundry items as required.
Monitor and maintain linen and laundry inventory.
Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry facility.
Ensure all laundry items meet established cleanliness and quality standards.

Role Requirements

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Ability to remain on your feet for a full shift, up to eight (8) hours or more.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks safely.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize assigned work.
Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Ability to follow all client policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
Flexible availability and willingness to work varying shifts based on operational needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Work Authorization Requirement: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Compensation: $20 per hour, Competitive hourly wage based on experience, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities.
