We are currently looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our production team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for completing structural and non-structural collision repairs safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer specifications.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles accurately
- Repair and replace damaged body panels, sheet metal, glass, and cosmetic components
- Perform door, hood, deck, chassis, and frame alignments
- Complete unibody and frame pulls to manufacturer specifications
- Repair welded and sectioned components
- Use frame and measuring equipment
- Apply filler and sand repaired panels to match original contours
- Repair or replace interior, exterior, and electrical components
- Verify replacement parts for accuracy and damage
- Work with the Repair Planner and Production Manager on supplements
- Photograph completed repairs before refinishing
- Complete final alignments, headlight adjustments, polishing, and reassembly when required
- Inspect and sign off on completed body repairs before the vehicle moves to the next stage
- Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and safety
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Continue developing your skills through training and new repair techniques
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who takes pride in their work and understands that attention to detail matters.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
- Completion of a recognized Auto Body/Collision Repair program
- 310B Auto Body & Collision Damage Repairer certification preferred/required depending on experience
- Red Seal certification is an asset
- Experience with structural and non-structural collision repairs
- MIG/TIG welding experience
- Experience with frame and unibody repairs
- Strong knowledge of vehicle disassembly and reassembly
- Ability to read and follow repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Own professional toolbox
- Valid Full G driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-minded
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new technologies, equipment, and repair techniques
