Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items. This role requires a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every customer has a positive experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using established recipes and standards.
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash, credit card transactions, and receipts.
Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
Handle food safely according to health regulations and company policies.
Perform food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed.
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times.
Restock supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operation during shifts.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with an outgoing and friendly demeanor.
Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and register operations accurately.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
