Employee Working Location : In-person (Sudbury, ON)

Employment Status : Summer/Co-op/Intern (2 months)

In this role, you will :

Assist Coordinators with scheduling of client assessments for seniors seeking assistance from the Seniors’ Transportation program.
Gain experience and knowledge in completing over the phone client assessments and eligibility criteria evaluations to assess clients’ situation and to determine the types of services required/needed.
Assist with the scheduling of client and volunteer rides within geographical area.
Assist with volunteer recruitment and retention.
Administrative duties such as typing letters, documents, and presentations.
Answer the telephone and general inquiries for the public.
Prepare and distributing public service announcements.
Answer general inquiries about the program and receiving referrals.
Assist with information booths to help with program growth and expansion, as requested.

What we are looking for :

Completion of secondary school and/or enrollment in a post-secondary program (college or university)
Excellent interpersonal and recording skills.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office software applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook).
Organizational skills and the ability to understand detailed information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and pays attention to detail.
Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving problems.

Working conditions :

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment.
