Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while supervising staff and coordinating activities. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives and support early childhood development through effective leadership and care giving.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality care and educational activities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and social skills
Monitor the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to licensing regulations and safety protocols
Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, concerns, and daily updates
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
Assist with on boarding, training, and evaluating staff members to foster professional growth
Manage daily administrative tasks such as attendance records, meal planning, and activity schedules
Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed child care/daycare supervisor in Ontario
RECE in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (required/preferred where applicable)
Strong knowledge of CCEYA and Ontario child care licensing requirements
Proven experience leading teams and managing Centre operations
Passion for Montessori and child-led learning approaches
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Comfortable using social media for engagement and marketing
Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
