Position: Electrician
Location: Kitchener, ON
Salary Range: $38 - $43 per hour, depending on qualifications and previous work experience

Over the past decade, we’ve partnered with clients to design, build, and maintain over 300 solar projects—generating more than 20 million kWh of clean energy annually and reducing CO₂ emissions by over 3,000 tonnes each year.

We're not just chasing trends. We’re leading them—transforming underutilized space with custom solar carports, enabling EV infrastructure, and integrating energy storage solutions. We also co-founded CED Co-op, Canada’s first public co-operative investment vehicle for clean energy, which has raised $20 million from 750+ members to build a $45M+ renewable portfolio.

As we grow, we’re looking for forward-thinking professionals to help us push boundaries and deliver projects that matter. We are currently hiring a Licensed 309A Electrician to join our solar installation team based in Kitchener, ON.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
You'll work closely with our Electrical Construction Team to execute high-quality electrical installations across the ICI and Commercial sectors. Responsibilities include:

Installing solar PV systems, including inverters, transformers, disconnects, splitters, etc.
Installing EV Charging systems-residential and commercial, level 2 and 3
Commissioning and configuring control and monitoring systems
Performing field inspections, repairs, and maintenance
Supervising and mentoring apprentices
Upholding VCT Group’s standards for quality, safety, and customer service

WHAT YOU BRING

309A or 442A Electrician License
Minimum 3 years post-licensing experience
Strong technical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and organization
Competence with digital tools: databases, Microsoft, MS Office, CRM/project software
Valid G-class license with clean abstract

BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

Experience with solar PV, EV chargers, and energy storage systems
Familiarity with IP networking, Wi-Fi, and data communications
Experience in both residential and commercial/industrial installations
Certifications: Working at Heights, First Aid/CPR, Forklift
