Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Weekends & OT)
Role Summary
Ready Machinery & Equipment (Canada) Inc. is a trusted industry leader known for its expertise in heavy machinery moving, rigging, transport, storage, and industrial equipment installation, delivering safe, reliable, and turnkey solutions to clients across Canada. We are seeking a Junior Rigger to join our machinery installation and relocation crews at our Milton location. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a Skilled Trades apprenticeship program — or simply someone with a strong work ethic and the right attitude who wants to build a career in a hands-on trade. No AZ license or driving experience is required; training can be provided for the right candidate who's interested in growth.
Key Responsibilities
Rigging & Machinery Support
- Assist installation/relocation crews with rigging, moving, and installing heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
- Support loading, unloading, and staging of equipment on job sites in a safe and organized manner.
- Learn and apply proper use of rigging tools, hardware, and techniques under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Comply with all safety rules and procedures, including OHSA requirements and protective measures.
- Assist team members in completing daily tasks efficiently and safely, including regular lifting and moving of materials and equipment up to approximately 25kg.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site and work area.
Team & Site Coordination
- Establish positive working relationships with crew members and primary contacts at each account.
- Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.
- Communicate clearly with team leads regarding task progress and any site concerns.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Required:
- Willingness to learn and grow within a hands-on skilled trade.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to approximately 25kg), bending, crouching, and manual work as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in meeting deadlines.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
Preferred:
- Interest in eventually pursuing AZ license training is a plus but not required.
- Forklift experience is an asset — training available for the right candidate.
- Enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a Skilled Trades apprenticeship program.
