Woodworker / Furniture Maker

The Knotty Lumber Co. manufactures custom furniture and finished cutting boards and supplies specialty hardwood lumber packs to customers across North America.

We are looking for a dependable, positive, and hardworking woodworker to join our team. Experience is valuable, but attitude, reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are most important.

Job Type: Full-time, PermanentPay: $20.00–$22.00 per hourSchedule: Monday to FridayWork Location: In person

Responsibilities

Build custom furniture and other hardwood products.
Produce finished cutting and charcuterie boards.
Assist with epoxy pours, filling, sanding, and finishing.
Set up jobs and prepare materials for production.
Mill lumber using jointers, planers, saws, routers, sanders, and other shop equipment.
Select, sort, prepare, and package hardwood lumber packs.
Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
Help the team meet production and shipping deadlines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop.
Assist with other production and shop duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
Good attention to detail and time management.
Comfortable receiving feedback and learning new processes.
At least one year of woodworking, carpentry, furniture-making, or woodshop experience is preferred.
Familiarity with woodworking machinery and power tools is an asset.
Cutting-board, epoxy, sanding, or finishing experience is an asset.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
A valid G driver’s licence is an asset.
